William Franklin Jacobe

William Franklin Jacobe, age 64, of Truro, Iowa, passed away on April 23rd, 2025 at his home.

William was born on June 23, 1960 the son of Delbert Lee and Roberta Jean (Penn) Jacobe, in Des Moines, Iowa. William was raised in the Winterset area and graduated from the Winterset Community School District in 1978. After graduating, he met the love of his life and his best friend, Virginia Rose Burk. The two were married on January 18, 1985 in Winterset, Iowa.

Through the years, William worked for a local farmer as a grain elevator operator and as a truck driver. His commitment to helping others was never unnoticed. Hard work and grit were two words that best describe his life and ethics. Anyone who saw William would see a tool in his hand, and him hard at work. He had the most infectious laugh and big smile. There was never a time that he would not lend a helping hand. He had a deep love for his family, grandchildren, and friends. One of the things that he loved to do at the end of the day was watching “MASH” or “The Simpsons” to help him wind down. Next time you watch either of those, remember William. He will be missed by all, especially by his loving wife and best friend, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sharon Jacobe; granddaughter, Annabell Jacobe.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Virginia Jacobe; children, Corey (Rachel) King, Matt (Kristie) Jacobe, Teresa (Dean) Conrad, Jennifer (Richard) Davenport, Bobbie (Larry Mallory) Jacobe, Jessica (Jacob) Giberson, Susan (Bill) Fickes, Cody (Michelle) Jacobe, Crystal Jacobe, Dillan Jacobe, Amber Jacobe, Curtis Jacobe, and Nicole Jacobe; 28 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Earl Dean (Karen) Jacobe; sister, Cecelia (Carroll) Shutt; as well as many more relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Apr 30, 2025 at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home-Winterset Chapel from 4pm to 6pm. Funeral will be May 1, 2025 at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home-Winterset Chapel at 11am. Burial will take place following the funeral at Union Cemetery in Clark County (1205 150th Ave, Murray, IA 50174).

Memorials are suggested to the family for designation at a later date.
