William (Bill) A. Robbins

William (Bill) A. Robbins, 80, passed away at home surrounded by his family on September 26,

2026, under the care of WesleyLife Hospice. Cremation rites have been accorded, and a

celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Bill was born on September 21, 1946, in Evanston, Illinois, to William Frederick Robbins and

Helen Geraldine Larkin. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Drake University in 1968. In

1971, he married the love of his life, Barbara, in Wilmette, Illinois. Together, they shared 55

wonderful years of marriage and raised two children, their son, Bill, and daughter, Tricia.

Bill was a real estate appraiser and owned and operated his own company, Accurate Appraisals,

for 30 years before retiring in 2021. He took great pride in his work, but his greatest joy was his

family. His children and grandchildren were the center of his world, and he supported them

wholeheartedly. He was always there to encourage them, cheer them on, and share in their

accomplishments and milestones.

Golf was Bill’s passion, and he enjoyed many memorable years as a member of FUBAR. Bill

and Barbara also loved to travel together, especially cruising, and shared many wonderful

memories exploring new places and enjoying time together. He was also an active member of

Lutheran Church of Hope, where his faith was an important part of his life.

Bill will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara; his son, Bill, and daughter-in-

law, Katherine Robbins; his daughter, Tricia Ryan; and his four cherished grandchildren, Zach

Caswell, Vivian Robbins, Andrew Ryan, and Gillian Ryan. He treasured each of them deeply,

and they brought him immeasurable joy and love throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Fred.
