Vickie Schleisman

Vickie Schleisman, 58, formerly of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Zearing Healthcare Center in Zearing, Iowa. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory (8201 Hickman Rd. Urbandale, Iowa 50322), from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Immediately following the visitation, her memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Vickie was born in Ft. Dodge, Iowa on June 17, 1967, to Sterling and Carolinn (Nafe) Schleisman. She grew up in Ft. Dodge where she graduated from Ft. Dodge High School with the class of 1985. Following high school, Vickie went to Ft. Dodge Community College where she earned her associates degree. She worked at a secretary at Applied Mechanical Products.

Vickie moved to Des Moines to start a new life. She was a member of the Oakwood Church in Pleasant Hill and the Huntington's Disease Association.

Vickie loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, going to her grandkids events, listening to music, drawing, activities involving art, suprising her loved ones, taking trips, and being a mother.

Those left to cherish her loving memories are her kids Sterling Love and Celeste Love; grandchildren Janessa, Janae, and Janiyah Bush; brothers Pat (Kathy) Schleisman and Tony Schleisman; step-father Wayne Howe; and Nieces Katie, Libby, Jenny, Ali, Tiffany, kylanna, and nephews Keaton, and Zachary.

Vickie was preceded in death by her dad Sterling Schleisman, mom Carolinn Howe, and brother Neal Schleisman.
