Vicki Lynn Offermann, 63, of Urbandale, Iowa, passed away peacefully at her home,
with family present, on April 22, 2026. Born on November 7, 1962, in Des Moines, Iowa,
Vicki was a lifelong resident of Urbandale and a proud graduate of Urbandale High
School, Class of 1981. During her school years, she was a standout softball player and
earned All-Conference Honors, reflecting her talent, determination, and competitive
spirit.
In 1996, Vicki married the love of her life, Steve Offermann. Together, they built a
warm, welcoming home and became known as a fun-loving couple who brought people
together. Their pool parties, Fourth of July celebrations, and countless gatherings with
neighbors, friends, and family were filled with laughter, good food, and the easy joy of
being in their company. Vicki and Steve shared 29 years of marriage until Steve's
passing in February 2026.
Vicki was a vibrant, fun-loving soul whose warmth and humor touched everyone
fortunate enough to know her. She loved her family deeply, was an exceptional cook,
and she especially loved talking with people-chatting with neighbors and catching up
with family. Her yard was always blooming with beautiful flowers she tended with pride,
and her home was filled with the companionship of the cats and dogs she adored.
Some of her happiest moments were spent with her husband Steve, her stepdaughter,
nieces, and nephews-hosting sleepovers that turned into unforgettable adventures.
Trips to Adventureland, stomping through puddles in the rain, fireworks in the street,
dancing in the living room, capturing toads for pets, playing games, and all kinds of
horseplay became cherished traditions.
Vicki worked in various roles at popular local restaurants, including the Urbandale
Golf and Country Club, Chicago Speakeasy and Chi-Chi's Mexican. She brought energy
and humor to every workplace.
Vicki is survived by her sister Cindy Lewis of Urbandale, IA; brothers John Gregory
Miller (Lisa) of Omaha, NE, and Kenneth Miller (Yvonne) of Pewaukee, WI; and her
stepdaughter Jessica Kennedy Sinnwell (Tim) of Clive, IA; nieces and nephews:

Miller of Milwaukee, WI; Amber Klein (Matt) of Omaha, NE; Grant Miller of Omaha,
