Vicki F. Krieger, 77, of West Des Moines, passed away on September 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Vicki built a successful career as an executive with IBM, bringing the same focus, determination, and tenacity to her work that she carried throughout her life. She could be fiercely strong and wonderfully tender — She could be formidable when the moment called for it and deeply tender when it mattered most. As a mother, she set high expectations and instilled in her children the perseverance, independence, focus, and tenacity that defined so much of her own life.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa M. Noble, and her son, Gerald J. Krieger; her grandchildren, Shane A. Noble, Aaron M. Noble, Jonathan D. Noble Jr., Greyson Krieger, and Cayla Krieger; her granddaughters-in-law, Kristen Noble and Rebecca Noble; three great-grandsons; and her first great-granddaughter on the way.

Her grandsons Shane, Aaron, and Jonathan held an especially meaningful place in her final days, surrounding their Nana with extraordinary love, tenderness, and care. Their constant presence and devotion brought her great comfort and reflected the close bond they shared with her.

Martha and Joe Arnold were Vicki’s best friends for more than 60 years. Martha was a sister to her in every way that mattered, and Martha and Joe’s sons, Dusty, Shane, and James, were simply family — it was never thought of any other way. Together, they shared decades of love, laughter, memories, and bonds that went far beyond biology.

Vicki was also fortunate to share a treasured friendship with Nicole, who began as a neighbor and became one of her dearest friends over more than 20 years. Nicole’s friendship, companionship, and unwavering support meant a tremendous amount to Vicki throughout those years.

Vicki also had a deep love for her dogs, who brought her tremendous joy over the years. Her family takes comfort in imagining her reunited with her beloved Zeus, Zena, and Abby

Vicki will be remembered for her strength, her determination, her loyalty, and the deep love she had for the people who mattered most to her. She leaves behind a family shaped in no small part by the lessons she taught them and the strength she carried throughout her life.
