Vicki (Allen) Dickinson, age 75, of Des Moines, passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2025. The family is deeply saddened by the loss of her. She was born on May 27, 1950 in Winterset, IA, the daughter of James and Virgie (Field) Allen.

Vicki grew up in Winterset and was a 1968 graduate of Winterset High School. She married Elvin “Dick” Dickinson, the love of her life, on June 28, 1969. They have 2 children, Jeri Jo and Jason. She worked at the Des Moines International Airport for 30 years as an Executive Secretary. She loved gardening, whether it was planting flowers or tending to her tomato plants. She enjoyed painting, sewing, crafting, happy hour, planning events, and enjoyed visiting with family and friends. One of her favorite things to do was attending baseball games, softball games, wrestling meets, and any event her grandchildren were involved with, including racing bullfrogs up and down the bank at their lake home of 20 years. She especially enjoyed talking about her children and grandchildren to everyone she knew. If you knew her, you were either one of her kids or one of her grandkids.

She is survived by her husband Dick; daughter Jeri Jo (Gary) Dudney; son Jason (Jodi) Dickinson; grandchildren, Preston (Amber) Dudney, Corey (Cortney) Dudney, Brandi (Jason) Hollander, Dakota (Bradee) Dudney, Cole Dickinson, Wyatt Dickinson, and Morgan Dickinson; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Jim Allen, Merle (Karen) Allen, and Bud (Cathy) Allen; sister Linda Thomsen; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
