Travis Lincoln

Travis William Lincoln passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 29, 2026, following a motorcycle accident while doing something he truly loved—riding his Harley.

Travis lived life fully and loved the outdoors. Some of his favorite things were hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and anything involving guns. He was extremely passionate about firearms and had recently turned that passion into a new business, Lincoln Gun Worx, which he was very proud and excited about. And if Travis was relaxing with friends or family, there was a good chance a Busch Light wasn’t too far away.

More recently, Travis also became the proud owner of two dogs, Ollie and Blue, who he was completely head over heels for and who quickly became a very special part of his life.

For the past 15 years, Travis worked for Elder Construction as a dirt foreman. He took great pride in his work and built many friendships along the way. Travis was the kind of person who never met a stranger. He could talk to anyone, made friends everywhere he went, and had a way of making people feel like they had known him forever.

In October, Travis married the love of his life, Hillary. Though their time as husband and wife was far too short, the life and love they shared together meant everything to him.

Above all, Travis loved his family. He was the proud father of five children: Tobbie Givens; Taylor Black and her husband, Hunter; Cadence; Kaylinne; and Cooper. He was especially proud to become a grandfather for the first time to Taylor and Hunter’s daughter, Saylor Jo, who brought him so much joy.

Travis is survived by his wife, Hillary; his five children, Tobbie, Taylor, Cadence, Kaylinne, and Cooper; his granddaughter, Saylor Jo; his parents, Bob and Tammy; his twin brother, Josh, and his wife, Rachel; his sister, Carrie, and her husband, Jeremie; along with many extended family members, friends, coworkers, and countless others whose lives were better because they knew him.

Travis was preceded in death by both sets of his grandparents and two aunts.

Travis will be remembered for his big personality, his love of the outdoors, his Harley, his passion for guns, his devotion to his family, and his ability to make a friend wherever he went. His absence leaves an enormous hole in the lives of those who loved him, but the stories, laughter, memories, and love he leaves behind will never be forgotten.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 4, 2026 from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 5, from 4:00-8:00 p.m., at Travis and Hillary’s home, 300 W. Grant Street, Macksburg, Iowa 50155.

In honor of Travis, guests are encouraged to wear blue, his favorite color, or New York Yankees or Green Bay Packers gear, representing two of his favorite teams. Come ready to share a story, a laugh, and a memory of a man who truly never met a stranger.

A memorial fund has been established in Travis’s name at Farmers & Merchants State Bank. Contributions will be used to help with funeral expenses and any other needs for the family.
