Graveside military honors for Tom Woods,70, of Perry, IA will be 12:30 pm Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adel, IA. Tom passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018.

Thomas William Woods was born May 2, 1948 in Blockton, Iowa the son of Glen L. and Vildren V. (Perkins) Woods. He graduated from East Greene High School with the class of 1966. He entered the United States Navy on October 18, 1966 and was honorably discharged from active duty October 4, 1968. Tom has been a Perry resident for the past fifty years. He worked as a Millwright union member in Des Moines until his retirement.

Survivors include his sister Janice (Merle) Anderson Jr. of Zearing, Iowa; one brother Glen (Janis) Woods Jr. of Oskaloosa, Iowa; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceding Tom in death were his parents and one sister Joyce Smotherman.
