Theodore Ted Peacock, 46, passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 4, 2026 from a brain bleed.

Ted was born November 1, 1979 in Des Moines, Iowa, to Thomas and Linda Peacock. He attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Dowling High School. He played on the basketball team and spent many hours in volunteer work at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.

He graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Grandview University and then received an associate degree in culinary science from DMACC, Ankeny. He traveled to France for 3 additional weeks of culinary training. He spent most of his working life in Culinary management at Senior Living Facilities.

He loved to travel with friends with trips to Hawaii, Europe and cruises. He so enjoyed sending videos skydiving and bungee jumping to his mother who was afraid of heights. He was an avid reader (a trait he inherited from his mother). He loved his dogs that he had most of his adult life.

Ted will be remembered for his sharp sense of humor and his empathy he felt for the older adults he encountered in his work. He will be sorely missed by family and friends. We will carry Ted's story, his laughter, his spirit with us, always.

Ted is survived by his father, Thomas Peacock; Aunts, Nancy Damiani, Patricia Machir, Mary Peacock, and Anne Hodges; and his Uncle, James Damiani. He was preceded in death by his beloved Mother, Linda Damiani Peacock; his Grandmothers, Maxine Damiani and Mary Peacock; and his Uncle, Kenneth Peacock. Being an only child he was fortunate to spend many hours with his 18 cousins throughout his life.

His life will be celebrated in accordance with his wishes in a private family service.
