Born May 20, 1943, in Perry, Iowa, Terry Frantum was the son of Ralph and Marjorie (Garland) Frantum. He graduated from Jamaica High School in 1961 and went on to work in various businesses before becoming Manager of The Perry Elks Lodge. Terry later enjoyed a fulfilling career in country club management, retiring from the Elks in 2010.

His greatest joy was his homestead outside Jamaica, Iowa, where he took pride in maintaining a beautiful lawn and shared the peaceful acreage with his beloved dog, Robby.
