Tam Huynh

Tam Huynh passed away peacefully at home on August 11, 2026 with his family by his side. Born in Saigon, Vietnam, he called Iowa home for the better part of four decades. His family includes his devoted wife of over 50 years, Phuong Tran; his children Amy and Jimmy; and his late daughter Jenny (Kraig), an incredible woman whose light left too soon. Through Jenny, Tam became a proud grandfather to three cherished granddaughters, Mischa, Ashlan, and Tayla. He is also survived by a loving extended family.

Tam lived a quiet, simple, hard-working life, but he loved his family with a patient strength and an unwavering heart. Those who knew him best, especially his children, understood the depth of his love.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 16, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home (8201 Hickman Rd. Urbandale, IA 50322).
