Visitation: Stephen is survived by his companion, Ms. Gerry Long of Savannah, GA, a daughter, Denise Malphrus and her husband, Matt of Savannah, GA; a son, Stephen D. Hood Jr. of Savannah, GA; his mother, Marion Hood of Winterset; two brothers, Gary Hood of Winterset and Robert Hood and his wife, Ginny of Urbandale; two sisters, Sherill Clark and her husband, Dennis Doc of Winterset and Karen Carter and her husband, Ron of Ankeny. Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Hood. Service: Memorials may be directed to the First United Presbyterian Church, Winterset, Iowa.
