Sheila Turnis

Sheila (Waters) Turnis left this life on January 30, 2020. Sheila is survived by her children Justin (Teresa), Kellie, Courtney (Eric), Kristen, Adam (Liberty), Kacie (Devin) and her 13 grandchildren Cole, Conner, Carson, Jase, Tayte and Jolie Turnis, Parker & Quinn Rollins, Ciara Watters & Bryson Turnis, Owen Tegeler, and Ella & Etta Maurer. Sheila is also survived by her mom, Ruth Arlene Waters, sisters Kayla (Ed) Harney, Vicki Goldsmith, Sue (Larry) Brawe and brother Craig Waters along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Sheila is proceeded in death by her father, Richard Merle Waters. Sheila had over 20years of government service as a Logistics Chief with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Sheila deployed to many assignments throughout the US and US territories and loved her extensive FEMA family. Sheila’s life will be celebrated Friday February 7, 2020 at Giovannetti Community Shelter, 8900 Douglas Ave. Urbandale, IA from 2:30 – 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family. Sheila walked through this life with grace and a generous heart. She will be forever missed.
