Scott William Clem was born January 12, 1974, in Creston, IA, the son of William “Bill” and Emma (Hayes) Clem. He graduated from Creston Community High School in 1992. Scott then went on to graduate from the University of Iowa in 1996, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
He began his marketing career at Kragie/Newell in Des Moines, and then followed his mentor, Tom Dunphy, when Tom opened Two Rivers Marketing. After Tom’s passing in 2006, Scott started AKC Marketing firm in 2007, in the basement of his house. In 2008 he hired Shawn Brincks who later became his business partner. Together they grew the firm into a prosperous business that won many prestigious awards. They also acquired Dwebware and Rel Productions to add website and app development as well as video production services to their company.
In October 2003, Scott was united in marriage to Alisa Kroska and to this union they added a beautiful daughter, Sydney Grace. Alisa and Scott later divorced. Sydney stole her dad’s heart the moment he saw her. She quickly became Scott’s whole world. He enjoyed spending time with Sydney and following her in all her activities. Scott enjoyed golfing, hunting, and being involved with the University of Iowa Wrestling program.
