Rose Marie Niblo, 87, of Winterset, passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
Rose Marie was born April 25, 1938, in Winterset, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Estella Mae (Johnston) Rogers. A lifelong resident of Winterset, she built her life around hard work, faith, family, and simple joys.
Rose Marie owned her own cleaning business for many years, providing services to homes, offices, nursing homes, and hospitals throughout the area. She took pride in her work and the relationships she built along the way.
She had a true love for fishing and could happily spend all day and well into the night casting a line. She also found great joy in cooking for her family, especially making her homemade noodles, which became a favorite tradition. Above all else, Rose Marie cherished time spent with her family and friends. She was an attendee of Oak Grove Community Church and carried her faith with her throughout her life.
Rose Marie is survived by her companion of 48 years, Jim McDonald; her children, Roxanne Davis (Rick) of Winterset, Randy (Karla) Maxwell of Patterson, Tony (Jayne) Maxwell of Winterset, and Tina Maxwell (Roger) of Adel; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Leo (Marsha) Rogers and Ralph (Delores) Rogers; and her sisters, Genevieve Mills and Evelyn Spencer.
