Robert Emmett Doyle

Robert Emmett Doyle passed away on October 11, 2016 at his home in Johnston, IA. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 21, 2016, with a visitation starting at 9:00 AM at St. John’s Catholic Church in Bancroft, IA. Robert was born on May 12, 1942 in Algona, IA to Raymond and Veda (Rahe) Doyle. He was a 1960 graduate of St. John’s in Bancroft, IA. Robert farmed and had a trucking business, along with working for his brother’s business, James Doyle Custom Grading. He moved to Des Moines in 1993 and worked for Manatt’s Ready Mix, until his retirement in 2015. Robert loved classic cars and enjoyed going to car shows. He is survived by his brother, Charles (Janice) Doyle of Swea City, IA; sister, Kate (Bill) Frederick of Muncie, IN; and many nieces and nephews.
