Robert Raymond “Bob” Tuttle, 86, of Winterset, passed away peacefully at his home on September 6, 2026.
Bob was born on April 2, 1940, to Charles Tuttle and Margaret Guion. He graduated from Lorimor High School in 1958. On March 24, 1962, Bob married Glenda Weaver in Omaha, Nebraska. Together, they had two sons, Rusty and Dusty, and shared more than 40 years together.
Bob was always on the move. A lifelong truck driver, he spent countless hours on the road and enjoyed sharing stories about the people, places and things he encountered along the way. As much as he enjoyed trucking, Bob cherished coming home to his family and Glenda’s amazing meals. He continued to brag about her cooking until the day he went to be with Jesus.
Bob is survived by his children, Christy (Keith) Staples of Cool, California, Robert “Dusty” (Shelly) Tuttle Jr. of Winterset, and Lacey Burgan of Beaverdale; sister, Betty Bone; and 125 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Tuttle; children, Judy Wiles, Leslie Wiles, Steven Wiles and Rusty Tuttle; and siblings, Charles Tuttle, George Tuttle, Thomas Tuttle, William Tuttle, Paul Tuttle, John Tuttle and Blanche Dykes.
