Robert "Bob" Smith

Bob passed away on November 5, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 9 2016 with a Vigil service starting at 7:00 PM at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory in Urbandale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi in West Des Moines. Bob was born on August 25, 1952 in Trenton, NJ to Robert and Agnes Smith. Bob married Barbara Stevenson on November 22, 1975. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Phoebe (Gregory) Myers, Abigail Smith; and 9 brothers and sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents, and stillborn son, Robert George. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
