Ray Radke, age 75, of Earlham, Iowa, passed away on January 18, 2026, at his home.
Ray was born on April 15, 1950, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Paul Otto and Frances Julia (Neubauer) Radke. He was raised in the Van Meter area and attended the Van Meter School District. After school, Ray began working as a laborer and spent 60 years working hard to provide for his family. Ray was united in marriage to Cynthia Harrington on May 2nd, 1970 at the Earlham Church of Christ in Earlham, Iowa.
Ray enjoyed attending tractor pulls and could often be found traveling to local county fairs and the Iowa State Fair each year for the pulls. He and his wife, Cynthia, also enjoyed visiting Lakeside and Prairie Meadows Casino. Ray took pride in his work, especially mowing his yard, and was known for rarely taking a break. He was always willing to help others when needed.
Ray is survived by his wife, Cynthia; his children, Matthew (Misty) Radke and Gabrielle (William) Paulsen; grandchildren Brandon Radke, Kayla (Justin) McMillan, Kenzie (Phoenix) Reed, Krista (Adam) Thompson, Cynthia Pike, and Robert Pike III; 10 great-grandchildren; his brother, Joe (Dixie) Radke; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Memorials are suggested to the family for designation at a future date.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place, and no services are planned at this time.
