Ralph E. Snyder - Adel

Ralph Eugene Snyder, 83, died November 22, 2015. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel with burial following at West Linn Cemetery near Linden. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at McCalley Funeral Home where family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Ralph was born May 5, 1932. He graduated from Linden High School and served in the US Navy from 1952 to 1956. Ralph was a driver and trucking delivery manager for Lucky Stores Retail Supermart in California. He also owned Snyder Painting on the side. He loved watching sports, music, and had a genuine love for his family, friends and God. He is survived by sons, Greg (Jennifer) and Jeff, both of California; sisters, Vera Buckley of Des Moines, IA and Darlene Coleman of Redfield, IA; step-sons, Dennis "Floyd" (Tresa) of Nixa, MO and Randall (Rose) of Linden, IA and step-daughters, Sue Dawes of Liberty, MO and Sheila McGregor of Des Moines, IA. Ralph was preceded in death by his first wife, Sally and second wife, Ruby Seibert, 4 sisters and a brother. Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Christian Church in Adel.
