Preston Norris

Preston James Norris, 14, of Urbandale passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017. Preston attended 9th grade at Prairie View Junior High School in Waukee. He was especially fond of his Modern World History studies. He enjoyed playing football and going on long bike rides with his friends. He loved music and liked to sing. His family and friends enjoyed his keen sense of humor and quick wit. He was kind and caring, a friend to all. Preston is survived by his mother, Janel Meyer of Urbandale; father, Cory Norris of Fairfield; grandmother, Kathleen Sherbondy of Urbandale; grandfather, James Meyer of Indianola; great grandfather, Phillip Sherbondy of Council Bluffs; uncle, Jared (Jacki) Meyer of Indianola; aunts Amy Craig of Carlisle, Emilee Norris of Redfield, and Carolanne Walter of Davenport. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 5:00 PM with a visitation preceding the service from 3:00-5:00 PM at Lutheran Church of Hope, 305 NE Dartmoor Dr, Waukee, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, the Preston Norris Memorial fund has been established for those wishing to contribute.
