Patrick Woods

Patrick "Pat" Woods, 78, of Indianola, Iowa, passed away at his home on Monday, June 29, 2026.

Pat was born on October 31, 1947, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Ward and Inez (Farwell) Woods. In February 1974, Pat married Lora Stuart and although they later divorced, they remained friends.

Pat enjoyed life's simple pleasures. He loved playing cards, camping, boating, taking road trips, and sightseeing. He especially enjoyed teasing his grandchildren and spending time with his family. Pat was a fan of country music. He also enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and enjoyed collecting Elvis memorabilia.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lori Staley (Shawn); his son, Rusty Woods; five grandchildren, Haley Woods, Stacy Soderstrum (Tanner), Mikala Boor (Eric), Devan Woods (Bayleih), and Jakob (Quinn) Woods; three great-grandchildren, Jace and Paisley Boor and Walker Woods; his sister, Mary Slauson; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents; his infant daughter, Stacy Lynn Woods; and grandson, Matthew Woods.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel. A visitation will be held prior, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a future designation.
