Pamela Edman, 68, of Montevideo, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024, in West Des Moines, Iowa, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 2, 1956, in Granite Falls, Minnesota, to Edward Edman and Bernice Haakenson. 

Pamela was a woman of remarkable talent and dedication. After graduating high school, she pursued technical education, a path that highlighted her exceptional skills. Her career at MTI was marked by producing sophisticated components for industries including Space and Defense, contributing to advancements in technology with her expertise. Pamela retired in 2019 after a successful and fulfilling career.

Outside of work, Pamela found joy in life’s simple and profound pleasures. She cherished time at the lake, loved traveling, and was happiest when surrounded by family. A voracious reader and puzzle enthusiast, she also took pride in her cooking and the comforts of home.

Pamela was married and divorced, and a devoted mother to her two daughters. She found strength and joy in her role as a loving family member. Her kindness, sharp mind, and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tanya Lee and Heidi Fahler (Jon); four grandchildren, Kira and Kylie Lee, and Ben and Ellie Fahler; siblings, John (Mary) Edman, Tom (Tammy) Edman, Liz Laraby, and Bob Edman; sister-in-law, Lana Edman; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Butch Edman; and one brother-in-law, David Laraby.

In honor of Pamela’s wishes, there are no services planned. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please direct donations to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
