Nicole Marie Spence, age 40, of Perry, IA, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, at her residence. A celebration of life will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the La Poste, 1219 Warford St. Perry, IA 50220. Online condolences can be sent to www.caldwellparrish.com.
Born on January 6, 1984, in Perry, IA, Nicole was the beloved daughter of Kenneth Spence and Candace (Bailey) Holcomb. She graduated from Perry High School in 2002 and furthered her education at AIB College of Business, where she studied Accounting. During her high school years, she was active in numerous sports; volleyball, track, softball, dance, Cheerleader and gymnastics.
Nicole was a devoted mother to her two children, Cameron and Caiden. Her love for them was evident in the time they spent together, whether fishing, hiking, or enjoying outdoor activities. Nicole also had a special bond with her dog, Batman, who brought her much joy and companionship. Nicole was most known for and well respected for having sold Grimes sweetcorn for several years. She took on various roles in her community, including housekeeping, yardwork, and working at a daycare. Nicole also served as the General Manager at Hotel Pattee, overseeing events and banquets.
Nicole is survived by her sons; Cameron Ketelsen and Caiden Cechovic, of Perry, mother, Candace (Kerry Shirbroun) Holcomb of Perry, brother, Travis Spence and his wife Bethany of Olathe, KS sister, Kassie Munoz and her husband Austin of Ankeny, IA nieces and nephews; Daxton Spence, Caleb Spence, Audi Munoz, Declan Munoz, Ellington Munoz, aunt, Dawn Bailey of Perry, two cousins, Josh William of Perry, Jason Homesley of Iowa, sister-in-law, Robyn Spence of Waukee, IA, best friend and partner, Jeff Cechovic of Perry, step-mother, Jeanie Spence of Missouri, very dear and close friend, Kayla Russell of Boone, IA many family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Spence, step-father, David Holcomb, uncle, Steve Bailey, maternal grandparents, Don and Shirley Bailey, paternal grandparents, Bill and Cris Spence.
