Listen to Obituary

Marilynn K. Kint, 68, of Winterset, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at her home, surrounded by family.

Marilynn was born on October 20, 1956, in Pomona, California, the daughter of Richard and Mardyll (Perkins) McGraw. Growing up, she lived in many places as her father held several trucking dispatcher jobs. She was a typical farm girl who knew the value of hard work. She was a 1976 graduate of Indianola High School. In 2012, she graduated with honors and a grade point average of 3.9 from William Penn University, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business.

She worked many interesting jobs over the years, including being a dispatcher at the Warren County Sheriff’s office, working in the Greyhound Bus accounting center, Holt Plumbing and Heating, and retiring from Marsh Insurance as an accountant.

Randal Kint and Marilynn were united in marriage on July 11, 1987, at the Warren County Courthouse. They have spent the majority of their years in and around St. Charles and Winterset.

Marilynn was a breast cancer survivor of 23 years, she enjoyed listening to oldies and country music, camping, crocheting, sewing, playing cards, and computer games, but her favorite thing of all was her family, and loved time spent with them.

Marilynn is survived by her husband, Randal; her sons, Todd Kint and Kurtis Kint, both of Winterset; her daughters, Amanda (Mike) Farrell of Madrid and Kayla (Kyle) Schultz of St. Charles; her grandchildren, Randal G. Kint, Andrew Kint, Steven Couch, Justin Farrell, Kaitlynn Farrell, Jacob Farrell, Nicholas Farrell, Kaden Farrell, Chloe Miller, CJ Davis, Ruby Kint, Riley Schultz, and Paisley Schultz; her brother, Stephen (Nonie) McGraw of St. Charles; and her sister-in-law, Sherrie Caster of Albia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Mardyll McGraw; her in-laws, Eldie and Betty Kint; her brother, Richard Aspenson; her sister, Pat (Ernie) Rosendahl; her grandparents, Leon and Rose Perkins; her nephew, Trent Rosendahl; and her niece, Darla Rosendahl.

She was truly a one-of-a-kind soul who cared deeply for her family and had a classic southern phrase for about anything. She will be greatly missed.
