Maria Mateo De Ordonez

María Carlota Mateo de Ordoñez, de 81 años, residente de Perry, falleció pacíficamente el jueves 18 de septiembre de 2025 en el Hospital del Condado de Dallas en Perry, Iowa.

La visita se llevará a cabo el viernes 26 de septiembre de 2025, de 5:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m., en Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Perry Chapel, ubicada en 1721 Park Street en Perry.
El servicio fúnebre se realizará el sábado 27 de septiembre de 2025, a las 8:00 a.m., en la Iglesia Bautista Hispana Ebenezer, ubicada en 1402 Warford Street en Perry. María nació el 20 de septiembre de 1943 en Guatemala. Contrajo matrimonio con Rosendo Ordoñez. Durante su vida en Guatemala, trabajó por muchos años en el Centro de Detención para Mujeres, donde fue reconocida por su entrega y compasión.

Fue una talentosa costurera que disfrutaba de la costura y el tejido, además de cocinar con amor para su familia y amigos. María fue una mujer de profunda fe, miembro activa y comprometida de la Iglesia Bautista Hispana Ebenezer, donde participaba con entusiasmo y dedicaba su tiempo como voluntaria. Su amor por la familia era inmenso, y su mayor alegría era estar rodeada de sus seres queridos.

Le sobreviven sus hijos: Fluvia Ordoñez, Marlen Ordoñez Juárez (y su esposo Walter Juárez), Sara Ordoñez, Mynor Ordoñez y Rosendo Ordoñez; sus nietos: Lara Morales, Jennifer Hernández, Alex Chacón, Walter Chacón, Bryan Juárez, Walter Juárez, Brandon Juárez, Sarai Carrillo, Aaron Carrillo, Alexis Ordoñez, Carmen Ordoñez, Mynor Ordoñez y Keylor Ordoñez; y sus bisnietos: Estuardo Salazar, Allison Salazar, Erick Méndez, Xavier Leake, Matthew Leake, Isaac Ochoa, Nathan Chacón, Samuel Chacón y Josué Chacón. También le sobreviven sus hermanos: Armando Mateo, Otoniel Mateo y Edy Mateo, así como muchos otros familiares y amigos que la amaban.

María será recordada por su fortaleza, amabilidad y profunda fe. Su legado perdurará en las muchas vidas que tocó.

Maria Carlota Mateo De Ordonez, age 81, of Perry, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Dallas County Hospital in Perry, Iowa.

A visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Perry Chapel, located at 1721 Park Street in Perry. The funeral service will be held at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Ebenezer Iglesia Bautista Hispana Church, located at 1402 Warford Street in Perry. Maria was born on September 20, 1943, in Guatemala. She was united in marriage to Rosendo Ordonez. While living in Guatemala, Maria worked for many years at the Women’s Jail, where she was known for her dedication and compassion.

She was a talented seamstress who enjoyed sewing and crocheting, and she loved cooking for her family and friends. Maria was a woman of deep faith and a devoted member of Ebenezer Iglesia Bautista Hispana Church, where she was actively involved and loved volunteering her time. Her love for her family was unwavering, and she was happiest when surrounded by those she cherished most.

Maria is survived by her beloved children: Fluvia Ordonez, Marlen Ordonez Juarez (and her husband Walter Juarez), Sara Ordonez, Mynor Ordonez, and Rosendo Ordonez; her cherished grandchildren: Lara Morales, Jennifer Hernandez, Alex Chacon, Walter Chacon, Bryan Juarez, Walter Juarez, Brandon Juarez, Sarai Carrillo, Aaron Carrillo, Alexis Ordonez, Carmen Ordonez, Mynor Ordonez, and Keylor Ordonez; and great-grandchildren: Estuardo Salazar, Allison Salazar, Erick Mendez, Xavier Leake, Matthew Leake, Isaac Ochoa, Nathan Chacon, Samuel Chacon, and Josue Chacon. She is also survived by her siblings: Armando Mateo, Otoniel Mateo, and Edy Mateo, along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Maria will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and faith-filled life. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched.
