Marcus Malachi Parmenter ("Bug"), 42, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on March 23, 2026.
Marcus was born on January 10, 1984, in Aurora, Colorado, to Marcia and Mark Parmenter. He grew up in Colorado and attended Aurora Central High School before continuing his education at Wyoming Technical Institute in Laramie, Wyoming, where he earned certification in upholstery.
Marcus was a skilled upholsterer who took pride in his craftsmanship. He owned and operated two of his own upholstery businesses. His talent of upholstering extended to working on yachts, boats, air planes, private jets and furniture. Among his many accomplishments, Marcus earned his private pilot's license, owned property, and restored a 1949 Chevy Deluxe classic car-one of his proudest projects.
Marcus had a deep love for adventure and the outdoors. He was an avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed motorcycling, camping, hiking, and snowboarding. He also loved playing poker, was a devoted Denver Broncos fan, and had a strong appreciation for classic cars.
He is survived by his mother, Marcy Parmenter; his father, Mark Parmenter; and his brothers, Micah and Mason. He is also survived by many extended family members, including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved deeply.
Marcus will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his talent and work ethic, and the way he connected with others. He lived life fully and left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 28th at 11am at Arise Church in Denver, Colorado.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marcus' name may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at afsp.org
