Lois Barnard

Lois Evan Barnard, age 83, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Kings Garden Campus of Perry Lutheran Homes in Perry, Iowa. 

She was born on February 26, 1942, in Enid, Oklahoma. Lois spent much of her professional career as a financial advisor with New York Life.

Lois had a deep love for music and faith, often playing the piano at church and singing in church choirs. She also enjoyed reading and, most of all, sewing. A natural creator, Lois was always making something new - often building shelves to neatly store her extensive and beloved collections.

She is survived by her brother, Jim “Coach” Barnard; her daughters, Bonnie Chambers (Kevin Hedin) and Cheri Wismont (Kenny); her grandchildren, Jason Chambers (Erin), Derek Urkoski, Jordyn Chambers (Paul), and Shelby Guenette (Jarrett); and five great-grandchildren.
