Laura Lee Keasey, 63, passed away on November 12, 2025. A service will be held at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home (735 S. 14th St., Adel, IA 50003) on November 20th, with visitation beginning at 5:00 PM and services starting at 6:30 PM. A dinner will follow at the Dallas County Fairgrounds Community Building (28057 Fairground Rd., Adel, IA 50003).

Laura's life was a testament to her resilience, grace, and deep compassion for those she loved. Born in Des Moines, she grew up in Adel and graduated from Adel-De Soto-Minburn High School. During her senior year, she survived a devastating accident that left her with serious neck injuries. After months of recovery, she pushed forward and walked across the graduation stage to a standing ovation from her peers and teachers-a moment that forever reflected her perseverance.

Not long after graduating, Laura moved to Colorado, where she welcomed her three oldest children-Joshua Berger, Ashley Clayton, and Tamara Ramirez. She returned to Iowa around 1993 to be closer to her family. While working at the local grocery store, she discovered her passion for cake decorating and became a renowned decorator throughout several counties. It was during this chapter of her life that she met her husband, Randy Keasey, and together they had their youngest child, Hunter Keasey.

Laura and Randy married on August 16th, 1997. They shared a marriage that was real in every sense-full of love, loyalty, and commitment. Their love was perfectly imperfect and held strong through all the years they spent together. Theirs was a devoted, enduring love, one that will continue to live on in the memories of all who knew them.

Laura and Randy went on to create their own establishment, Keasey's Hideaway Lounge, which she proudly managed for 16 years. During that time, she formed lifelong friendships and became a trusted, comforting presence in her community.

Laura enjoyed watching the television show Criminal Minds, tending to two large gardens, canning her own sauces and pickles, and baking her famous zucchini bread-always insisting it was "just banana bread" to trick the kids. Her kindness and unwavering spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her.

Laura is survived by her husband of 30 years, Randy; her four children: Josh, Ashley (Nick) Clayton, Tamara Ramirez, and Hunter; and her twelve grandchildren: Katlyn, Caleb, Johnathan Jr., Noah, Jedidiah, Evelyn, Adalyne, Christopher, Dominic, Avaya, Vivianna, and Jaquelin. She also leaves behind two great-grandchildren: Memphis and Nolan; her siblings, Bruce, Linda, and Brenda; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Greg; her parents, Howard and Carolyn; her niece, Melissa; and her nephew, Justin.

Laura’s legacy is one of strength, compassion, and love. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and community.
