Larry Wilkinson

Larry Wayne Wilkinson, 84, passed away peacefully at his home at Saratoga View Senior Living in Utah on Monday, May 25, 2026.

Larry was born on February 19, 1942, in Milo, Iowa, to Wayne and Reland (Atherton) Wilkinson. He grew up in southern Iowa and graduated from Martensdale-St. Mary’s High School in 1960. He met Carolyn Collins, and the two were married on December 15, 1963 - a partnership that lasted more than 62 years. He and Carolyn raised four children together.

Larry spent much of his working life as a pressman and as a part-time farmer. His favorite past-time was fishing. Larry moved from Iowa to Utah to be closer to his children in November of 2025.

Larry is survived by his wife, Carolyn Wilkinson; three children, Lynnette (Glen) Sheldon, Jeanie (James) Lewis, and Bernard (Jenice) Wilkinson; three sisters, Elsie Goldizen, Edna Rawson, and Nancy Brown; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Reland; his daughter, Cynthia Lou Wilkinson; brother Dale Wilkinson; and sisters Viola Martin, Martha Holsinger, and Thelma Rhoades.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00, Monday, June 1, 2026, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 2nd, at Martensdale Community Church in Martensdale. Burial will be at Belmont Cemetery, in rural Milo, Iowa. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a future designation.
