Lane Alan Smith

Lane Alan Smith, the infant son of Morgan McVay and Cole Smith, was born and died Monday, September 14, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. A gathering in honor of Lane will be held Saturday, September 19 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset; where his family will be present during these times to receive friends. Survivors include his parents Morgan and Cole of St. Charles; grandparents, Brad and Magen McVay of Winterset; Bret and Karen Smith of Murray and Galen and Kelly Smith of St. Charles. He is also survived by great grandparents, Mary Lou Myers of Winterset; Teri O’Leary of Mesa, AZ; Barb and Abe McVay of Winterset; Terry and Ladonna Smith of Winterset; Doris Evans of Vinton; great great grandparents, George and Beverly Myers of Ankeny; Catherine Drake of Winterset; Esther Smith of Peru; several aunts and uncles; Brooklyn McVay of Winterset; Nate Smith of Cedar Falls; Nic (Leslie) Smith of Truro; Cori Smith of Vinton; Jeni Smith of Murray; Tiffany Smith of Truro; Garret Smith of St. Charles; Gabe (Emily) Smith of Alva, WY; cousins, Cort, Cora and Cash Smith; extended family and a host of friends.
