Kurt Sproston

Kurt Sproston, 59, of Des Moines, IA, passed away on Feburary 4, 2026. He was born on October 11, 1966 to Kenneth and Elmeree Sproston.
Kurt had a heart to go for long car rides, tubing down rivers, spending time with friends and family, going for walks, fishing and camping. Kurt was a hard worker for Monty and Becky Button for 3 to 4 years. Kurt said cutting down trees was a life he wanted to have so he could have all the wood in the world.
Kurt had a heart to make sure his kids and grandkids were happy no matter what. He has even put on a wedding dress, makeup and did his hair! Kurt's heart loved everyone he met, his daughters' friends became more like kids to him. He had a way of helping all of the younger people with advice or projects you name it, he was always the man with the wings to hold us. Kurt loved to tell Jennifer and Holly stories about his brothers and sisters. Kurt was a handful, but he left a mark on everyone he met. 
He leaves behind his wife, Jennifer; step daughter, Holly; son, Quincy Sproston; siblings, Lee Sproston and Mary Sproston, Tim Sproston, and Evon Eby; 10 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many other family and friends.
