Konnie Horn

Konnie Horn, 82, of Winterset, Iowa, passed away on May 8, 2024 at her home.

Konnie Kaye Pritchard was born on June 14, 1941 to Fred and Flossie (Addy) Pritchard in Des Moines, Iowa. She grew up in Peru, Iowa, and started school there. She later went to Winterset High School and graduated with the class of 1959.

Konnie and Kenneth Horn were married on May 6th,1961, and lived in Winterset. She lived in Madison County all of her married life.

She loved her job as a secretary for Iowa Realty, where she had worked for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family and loved attending her granddaughter’s sporting events and activities.

Konnie is survived by her husband, Kenneth; son, Rodney (Melinda) Horn; two granddaughters, Heylee (Drew) Eighmy and Nichelle (Todd) Graham; four great grandchildren, Kenlee Eighmy, Melissa Eighmy, Hunter Eighmy, and Elsie Graham; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Flossie Pritchard; brother, Dick Pritchard and his wife; sister, JoAnn Pritchard Callison and her husband; four nephews; and one great nephew, Scott Callison.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Winterset. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Van Meter, Iowa.
