Kenneth Lee Springer

Kenneth Lee Springer, 79, passed away April 12, 2016, at Fountain West Health Care Center in West Des Moines. A memorial visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 17, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory in Urbandale. Kenneth enjoyed reading, gardening, bicycling, sports and most of all spending time with his precious-and-adorable grandchildren. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Kay; daughters, Lisa Springer and Lynette (Rick) Morris; son, Kane Springer; brother, Keith Springer; sisters, Colleen Murphy, Marilyn (Arnold) Erickson, Lucretia Abbott and Barbara (John Swiney) Staley; and grandchildren, Alex and Matthew Morris, and Joslyn Springer. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lois Springer; and brother, George Springer, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
