Joyce Slater - Adel

Joyce Stevens Slater, 59 of Adel, Iowa entered into eternal life February 3, 2014. Joyce is survived by her mother Patricia; son Dan (Rebecca) Slater of Adel; daughters Stephanie (Mahesh) Slater of Chicago and Erica (Russell) Hall of Port Neches, TX; grandchildren Connor, Michael, and Carter Slater, and Bailey Hall; brother David (Vicki) Stevens; sisters Debbie (George) Anderson and Naomi (Dan) Ebner. She is preceded by her father Ennis Stevens and sister Donna Wilson. Joyce was a beloved mother and grandmother, and could be found playing cards with friends or enjoying laughs with her grandchildren. At her request, she has been cremated. Memorial Services will be 1:30 PM Friday, February 7, 2014 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. Friends may call after 2 PM Thursday, February 6th at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 4-7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM.
