Joyce Kirkpatrick

Joyce Ann Kirkpatrick, 54, of Winterset, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Greater Regional Hospice House in Creston. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset. Visitation will be held one our prior beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place in the Moon Cemetery near Macksburg. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Creston Animal Rescue Effort/Creston City Pound. Joyce was born on December 31, 1966 in Greenfield, Iowa to Vernon and Kathy (Felton) Kirkpatrick. She attended I-35 schools and graduated in 1985. Joyce worked for the IRS for 35 years and ended her career as a bankruptcy specialist. Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Kirkpatrick. She is survived by her children, Antoinette Cunningham and James Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, Hunter Kirkpatrick, Jasper Miller, Vada Miller, and Hayden Miller; significant other, Gary McCarty; mother, Kathy; brothers, Ryan Kirkpatrick, Larry Thompson and David Thompson; sisters, Angela Thompson and Vicki Thompson; and many extended family and friends.
