Jerry Lee Leach, 46, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022, at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2022, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory, 8201 Hickman Rd, Urbandale, IA 50322. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. Cremation will follow the service. Jerry was born March 14, 1975, in Des Moines, Iowa to George Michael “Mike” Leach, Sr. and Jeannie (Kistler) Leach. He was known for being a hardworking man and spent 25 years at Fedex Freight, where he made lifelong friendships. He loved his family and took pride in being a provider. In his freetime, Jerry loved trying out new places, traveling, and cooking for a crowd. He also enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with friends, and helping others, whether it was fixing cars or simply offering his time. Jerry is survived by his son, Brandon Leach; son, Joseph Leach; daughter, Isabella Leach; brother, Danny (Renee) Leach; sister-in-law, Michelle Leach (Mike, Jr.); nephews, George Michael “Mike” Leach, III, Richard (Kelsey) Reed, Danny Leach, Jr.; nieces, Bailey (Michael) Luke, and Brooke (Thomas) Starnes, and many great-nephews and nieces. With honorable mentions, girl-friend, Hope Bishb; and Terra Jolliffe.
