Jenny was born September 14th, 1965 in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Donnie Joe and Gayle (Wolfe) Dolphin. She received her education at Cascade High School and Capri College of Cosmetology.
She was employed as a hair stylist for 38 years, most recently at her salon at West Lake Studios. She was passionate about her dogs (referred to as “her girls”) throughout the years. She also loved rooting for Notre Dame athletics and visiting South Bend for football games with cousins. She also was a big fan of watching her nieces & nephews in sports. She was their biggest fan.
She is survived by her beloved dogs, Luna and Kiya, her goldendoodles; her mother, Gayle, a sister Cindy Hermsen of Dubuque, brother JD Dolphin (Jodi) of Cascade, sister Linda Mosher (Brian) of Bettendorf, brother Randy Dolphin (Lisa) of Cedar Rapids, and nieces and nephews: Lee Hightower (Courtney), Ashly (Kirby) Hightower, Levi Dolphin, Lynsey Dolphin, Hailey Dolphin, Skylar Dolphin, Brayden Dolphin, Colby Dolphin, Bradley Dolphin, Colton Mosher and a special adopted grandson, Earl.
Jenny made friends no matter where she went. There are numerous relatives and more great friends than we can count.
She is preceded in death by her father, Donnie Joe Dolphin, and uncles Merlie Dolphin, Robert (Monk) Dolphin, and Carlie Dolphin.
In lieu of flowers, a Jenny Dolphin memorial fund has been established.
Thank you to everyone that has supported Jenny over the years with meals, household chores, visits, cards, flowers, calls and texts. They were all important to her and helped her smile.
