Funeral services for Jeanne Carey, 86, of Urbandale, who passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 5, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. Burial will follow in the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May, 4 at Caldwell Raddatz Funeral Home and Crematory in Urbandale. Her life revolved around her grandchildren. Jeanne is survived by her husband, Al; children, Sheila Rae Koss, Michael and Robert (Shelly) Carey, Crystal (Frank) Miller and Debra Reed; grandchildren, Julie (Kyle) Bye, Kara (Ryan) Krueger, Jennifer (Chris) Sobolewski; great grandchildren, Colton and Cyle Cihla, Cameron Althoff, Nolan and Sophie Krueger and Jordan Sobolewski. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Lloyd Tharp; daughter, Kathleen Lynn Mershon; 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
