Jeanette Louise Loyd

Jeanette Louise Loyd, 54, of Perry, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2026, following a courageous seven-year battle with breast cancer.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Perry Chapel. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026, at the First Christian Church in Perry. Memorials may be directed to the family. Born on October 4, 1971, in West Allis, Wisconsin, Jeanette was the daughter of Dennis Fitch and Susan (Crouch) Fitch. She graduated from Central Dallas High School in Minburn, Iowa, with the Class of 1990. She continued her education at Simpson College in Indianola and later Des Moines Area Community College, where she earned her associate degree.

On January 30, 2006, she was united in marriage to Justin Loyd, her beloved husband, best friend, and constant companion. Family and tradition were the foundation of Jeanette’s life. She cherished her mornings spent drinking coffee and playing cards with Justin. Time with her children was especially meaningful - watching old family videos, sharing laughter, reminiscing, and making new memories together. Becoming a grandmother filled her heart with immeasurable joy, and her precious granddaughter, Kaelyn, was one of her greatest blessings.

Jeanette devoted her professional life to caring for others, serving the Perry community through her work as a massage therapist. Jeanette also worked for Swanson Family Dental where she made lasting relationships with her coworkers.

Jeanette found peace and fulfillment through yoga, spiritual reflection, and holistic healing. She loved reading and traveling, with a special fondness for beach getaways and trips along the California and Oregon coasts. She also had a deep love for animals (especially cuddling with her beloved miniature schnauzer, Izzy) and music - Tim McGraw forever held the top spot in her heart, alongside Taylor Swift and Noah Kahan.

Jeanette will be lovingly remembered for her radiant smile, kind and gentle heart, quiet strength, and unwavering sweetness. She was a truly beautiful soul whose love and light will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Justin Loyd of Perry; children: Cole Whitney of Perry, Jayden Whitney of Perry, Kaylee Loyd (Logan Dunaway) of Urbandale, and Jackson Loyd of Perry; granddaughter, Kaelyn Marie Dunaway; sister, Kris Fitch of Guthrie Center; father- and mother-in-law, David and Tammy Loyd of Perry; sister-in-law, Molli Loyd (Matt Harmann) of Panora; along with many aunts, uncles, other relatives, and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis Fitch and Susan Fitch.
