Janice Lea Rodgers

Janice Lea Rodgers of Des Moines passed away on July 10, 2016 after a long battle of cancer. A visitation will be on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 11 am to 1 pm at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home 8201 Hickman Road Urbandale, IA 50322 with a funeral service to follow. Janice loved spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. She loved going on long walks, roasting marshmallows, singing, and get togethers with her family. She kept her sense of humor through her illness and kept her families sprits up. She was so courageous and brave and always had a smile. Janice was born in Des Moines, Iowa on December 14, 1961 to Howard and Opal Rodgers. She we will be deeply missed by her son; Chad (Kathleen Penner) Rodgers, daughter; Amber Griffin, grandchildren; Malia Cuevas and Ben Penner, sisters; Carolyn (Bill) Ross, Joyce Wapelhorst, Sandy (Dennis) Rich, and Linda (Dan) Steele, and many nieces and nephews. Janice is preceded in death by her parents; Howard and Opal Rodgers. “We love you more” In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family.
