James W. 'Jim' Rynearson

Jim Rynearson, 56, of Winterset, Iowa, died Friday, December 30, 2016 at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at New Bridge Church in Winterset with Rev. Dr. John Shaull officiating. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery at Winterset, Iowa. Jim was born on April 13, 1960, at Winterset to Jesse and Esther (Fleener) Rynearson. He grew up in the Lorimor and Winterset area and was a 1978 graduate of Winterset High School. Jim was married on March 14, 1987, to Patricia Ann Stephenson Millsap. He had lived in Winterset for many years and worked for JRS Excavating in St. Charles He had been a member of the Iron Dukes Car Club and Ducks Unlimited. Jim is survived by his parents, Jesse and Esther (Fleener) Rynearson of Lorimor; wife, Patty Rynearson of Winterset; son, Jesse (Melisha) Rynearson of Adel; stepsons, Reese (Sarah) Millsap of Adel, Lance (Lindsey) Millsap of Mason City; grandchildren, Brayden and Morgan Rynearson; step-grandchildren, Cole, Caleb, Jaxson, Tate, Noah, and Case Millsap; and brother-in-law, Rick Thornburg of Winterset. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Cole Millsap; and sister, Kathy Thornburg. Family will receive friends Monday from 4 to 8 PM at New Bridge Church. Memorials may be directed to his family for a future designation. Funeral arrangements are being handled by McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
