James Philip Flinn

James Philip Flinn age 74 passed away Monday morning November 28, 2016 at Adel Acres. Memorial services will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Private family burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Minburn. Jim was born in Des Moines, Iowa to Phyllis (Todd) and Bob Flinn. He was a truck driver who worked for Solar and Farm Land, along with others. Jim was a NASCAR fan, football fan and loved riding his motorcycle. He belonged to the Covered Bridge Cruisers motorcycle club. He loved meeting his friends at the Redfield Legion Hall for breakfast. Jim is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sandi of De Soto; sons, Bob (Julie) of Colorado Springs, CO, Gary (Carol) of De Soto and Tony of Perry; step-children, Chris Lane, William Lane, Phyllis Lane (Stan Welshhons); nine grandchildren, who he loved dearly; two brothers, Jack (Pirjo) and Rob and sister, Lois Miller (Hershel). He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Brian Lane. The family would like to thank the staff at Adel Acres for the excellent care they provided.
