Jack Allen Jr.

Jack Allen Jr, 57, of Madrid IA passed away unexpectedly and went to his savior on March 15th 2022. He was a dedicated family man, very involved in the community and with the I.O.O.F. He enjoyed planning events and fundraisers. He held on to his faith closely, starting every morning by reading the Bible and a daily scripture. In 1991, Jack married the love of his life Jodene and together started their family. Jack is survived by his wife Jodene Allen, father Jack Allen Sr; children Ashley (David) Allen, Scott (Katie) Allen; grandsons Dawson and Kayden Allen; siblings Delbert (Kim) Allen, Eugene Allen, Kevin (Avonna) Allen and Jolene Sigler. Along with many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Allen. Jack never knew a stranger and always made a friend in everyone he met. There will be a celebration of life on March 20th, 2022 at 3pm at the Sherman Lodge - 2340 East 9th street, Des Moines, IA 50315. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to his son Scott Allen in memory of Jack. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” - Matthew 11:28-30.
