Helen C. Dzuris

Helen Christina Dzuris, daughter of John Ray Dzuris and Margaret Lucille Broders Dzuris, was born December 2, 1949 in Jefferson, Iowa and died December 15, 2010 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Helen was 61 years of age. Helen was a life long resident of Jefferson. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1968. Helen's greatest love was her family and friends. She always put others first, never worrying about herself. Helen always worked hard at making sure everyone was fine. Helen was the proud mother of her sons Lance and Steven. Her mother and siblings, Jane, Kathy, Kent, and Troy were precious to her. Through the years she had worked at Saba's Bakery, Places Dime Store, Home Health Care and she especially enjoyed babysitting. Her babysitting kids were very special to her. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, father John Dzuris, and step-father Orman Lux. Helen is survived by her mother Margaret Lux of Jefferson, Iowa, sons Lance Dzuris and wife Krystal and son Steven Dzuris all of Jefferson, Iowa ; grandchildren Haleigh, Chloe, and Aleigha Dzuris; sisters Jane Tackett of Tioga, North Dakota; Kathy Brumbaugh of Somers, Iowa; brothers Kent Dzuris of Jefferson, Iowa, and Troy Lux and wife Suzanne of Toledo, Iowa; nephews and niece Todd, Patty, John, Kyle, and Erik; other relatives and many friends.
