Harvey Leroy Hindman

Harvey Leroy Hindman was born September 27, 1925 in Laurel, Iowa, the son of Marion Harvey and Myrtle Ann (Hodgson) Hindman. He was a lifelong resident of Madison County and farmed all of his life until retiring in 1990. Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Mary Lee Hindman of Winterset; Irma Hindman of Earlham; Roberta Hindman of Indianola; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Harvey was a devoted Christian and was an active member of the New Hope Christian Fellowship Church. He also enjoyed bowling and was a member of Farm Bureau. Harvey passed away Thursday, November 22, 2007 at the Madison County Health Care System in Winterset. He was 82. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare, Winterset. Memorial: He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Albert, Leland and Raymond Hindman; two sisters, Lorrena Dolmage and Arlene Cuttler; two half brothers, Merle and Glen Hindman and one half sister, Hazel Barker.
