Harold Dean Towne Jr.

Harold Dean Towne Jr. (66) of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on June 1st, 2025.

Dean was born February 7th, 1959, to Harold and Leona Towne. He attended Roosevelt High School and Des Moines Tech. He began working for UPS when he was 21 and retired from there 45 years later.

Those who knew Dean will remember him for his generosity and adventurous spirit. He was always active and enjoyed riding his bike and four-wheeler, playing cribbage, and reading about astrology. He is greatly loved by his family and friends and will always be remembered.

He is survived by his mother, Leona; his children, Eric (Lauren), Brandon, Tara, and Grant; his brothers, Timothy and Joseph (Pam Brown); his 5 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Dean Towne Sr., and his nephew, Dustan Towne.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 21st, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Bianchi’s Hilltop Restaurant.
