Glenn “Zeek” Veik, 63, passed away on May 25, 2026 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Glenn was born on April 12, 1963, in Columbus, Nebraska, Glenn lived life on his own terms, with loyalty, humor, and a deep love for family, friends, motorcycles, and the open road. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1981 to 1985 while stationed in Germany, an experience that shaped much of his adventurous spirit.

Glenn was best known for his easygoing nature and passion for riding. An avid motorcyclist, he spent many years traveling the country on his Harley, making memories and friendships wherever the road led him. He was a proud member of the American Legion Riders and created and moderated the Facebook group F.T.W. Forever Two Wheels, where fellow riders and friends gathered to share their love of motorcycles and freedom.

Above all else, Glenn cherished his son, Dylan. Whether they were racing go-karts together or simply spending time hanging out.

Glenn is survived by his son, Dylan Veik; his mother, Marilyn; his brother, Gerald (Linda) Veik; his sisters, Teresa (Brian) Michelson and Janell (Mario) Veik; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and a great-nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Delmer, and sister, Lanette.

Glenn will be remembered for his adventurous soul, his love of the road, and the countless lives he touched through friendship and community. His memory will ride on with all who knew and loved him.

Further funeral arrangements are pending. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to the family for a future designation.
