Gladys M. Clover

Gladys Clover, 97, passed away on Tuesday, Nov 15, 2022, at Trinity Center-Luther Park in Des Moines, Iowa.

Gladys was born and raised in Williams, IA to Charles and Helen (Fluech) Olson on December 10, 1924. After high school, she graduated from the Iowa School of Beauty in Des Moines. Gladys was very active in the Basilica of St. John's Rosary Society for over 60 years, until her failing health kept her from attending.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Clover, her parents, and her sister, Esther Koppen. She is survived by her other sister, Ida Lindgren; two sons, Michael and Patrick; grandchildren, Delores Bentler, Elizabeth Sommars, and Brittany Clover and their children; many nieces, nephews, and varying degrees of cousins found by her extensive genealogy researches.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-6:30 pm followed by a Rosary service at 6:30 pm on Monday, November 21st, 2022 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Urbandale. The family kindly requests that all guests, regardless of vaccination status, wear a facemask to the visitation and rosary. Thank you for your understanding. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022 at Basilica of St. John in Des Moines followed by burial at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Basilica of St. John in loving memory of Gladys.
