Gary Lee Wolfe

Gary Lee Wolfe, 84, of Dawson, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Independence Village of Ames.

A private burial will be held at Dawson Township Cemetery in rural Dawson, Iowa. Online condolences may be shared at www.caldwellparrish.com.

Gary was born on October 4, 1942, in Laurel, Nebraska, the son of Elmer and Wonetta (Dennis) Wolfe. He graduated high school and went on to attend trade school, pursuing a career as a mechanic and farmer.

In 1993, Gary married Janey Weeks. Together, they shared a love of traveling and made many wonderful memories along the way. They enjoyed spending their winters at their second home in Tucson, Arizona, and took many trips throughout the years. Gary and Janey could often be found attending car shows, visiting the Iowa State Fair, and, most of all, enjoying their favorite pastime - going to antique toy shows.

Gary is survived by his brother, Don (Charlene) Wolfe; and other family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Wonetta Wolfe; his wife, Janey Spangler; and his sister, Judy Van Gundy.
